Practical Baby Shower Gifts That Expecting Parents Will Really Appreciate

Gambar
Diving into the parenting world can be daunting. There are so many things that new parents need beyond the big-ticket items like strollers, cribs and diaper genies. Although those might be some of the flashier items available on the baby registry that are grabbed immediately by mother-in-laws and siblings, we found items that might not necessarily be on the top of your friend or family member's registry. These gifts are thoughtful must-haves that'll last a little longer than those cute little onesies that baby will wear for a few months. As you watch the new mom open your gift, they'll be pleasantly surprised. These long-lasting gifts are a little outside of the box, but the new parents will be grateful for them. Durable and safe for the baby, these gifts will be used often. Among our selections is a soothing rocker that can be used up through the baby's toddler years. It's vibrations will help convince the baby to go to sleep and let mom or dad have a much-n

All 36 'Real Housewives' Couples Who Filed for Divorce "It's a conversation that we're still trying to figure out, honestly," the Real Housewives of Atlanta star, 49, told Us Weekly exclusively on Wednesday, May 27. However, Moore pointed out that Daly, 49, has his hesitations. "It's scary for him too … because Brooklyn's not his only child, so for him, it's like, 'Well, how many children will I have?' So I think that is probably the biggest issue for him," she explained. "But I don't think he thinks he can love anyone more than he loves Brooklyn and his other children right now, so

First baby koala born in Australian wildlife park since devastating New South Wales bushfires

Gambar
(CNN) — A wildlife park in Australia is celebrating the arrival of its first baby koala since bushfires devastated the area. The baby koala — known as a joey — was revealed in a Facebook video posted by the Australian Reptile Park near Sydney, New South Wales, on Tuesday. 'Minecraft Dungeons' aims to be more than 'baby's first Diablo'

Gambar
The simple pitch for Minecraft Dungeons goes something like this: Two great games play great together. It works! Mostly. If you're a fan of Minecraft but haven't heard about Dungeons, an explanation is in order. It's blocky Diablo, a game of crawling through dungeons and striking down monsters in hopes of scoring some sweet, deadly loot. The camera hangs overhead, giving you a wide view of the terrain as you smash and plunder your way to ever-more-powerful heights. That's the idea. The reality falls pretty close to that, too. If you've ever played Diablo, its sequels, or any of the games like them (such as Torchlight or Titan Quest), you'll feel right at home. This is Minecraft without the mining, or the crafting. Instead, you fight. There are hordes of blocky monsters, or "mobs" for those who prefer the Minecraft lexicon, waiting to surround your hero and chip away at their health. You'll probably die a fair amount as the game goes on, espec

Johnson & Johnson is doing away with talc-based baby powder.  On Tuesday, the company said that it is discontinuing its iconic talc-based baby powder in the U.S. and Canada amid a larger review of products prompted by the Covid-19 pandemic. The company, which faces thousands of lawsuits claiming the powder caused cancer in women who used it, said demand has been falling "due in large part to changes in consumer habits and fueled by misinformation around the safety of the product and a constant barrage of litigation advertising," according to a statement. According to a statement, the company "remains steadfastly confident in the safety of talc-based Johnson's Baby Powder," according to the statement. "We will continue to vigorously defend the product, its safety, and the unfounded allegations against it and the Company in the courtroom. Our baby was born. Then coronavirus lockdown began

Gambar
Before coronavirus I was eating out around 10 times a week. Sometimes more, if I felt like I was wasting away, or less, if my doctor sister had texted me about diabetes again. It wasn't just gluttony. I write about restaurants. And it wasn't always the grande bouffe. Sometimes just soup. Sounds defensive, doesn't it? It looks excessive from our new vantage point. That lifestyle came shuddering to a halt at the start of March. Our daughter Lily was born on 11 March. Then the lockdown began. I haven't been to a restaurant for nearly two months. Other critics have written heartbroken paeans to their former sweethearts. Not me. In fact, the longer the lockdown goes on, the more I wonder whether I miss them at all. The past few weeks have been a crash course in an old-fashioned version of sustenance. We plan meals, shop for ingredients, cook them ourselves. I feed wife, wife feeds daughter, nobody starves, I get to feel useful. We are working our way through recipes we

Relieve Sore Gums With These Durable Silicone Baby Teethers

Gambar
As a parent, there's nothing more heartbreaking than seeing your little one in pain, even if you know it's temporary and a natural part of growing big and strong. Getting their teeth in is no exception, but it's something every baby goes through. However, thanks to baby teethers, you can give them relief so they can go back to their happy and cheerful self. There are so many adorable shapes and colors, too, so they've basically become a style statement in themselves too. In particular, silicone baby teethers are a great choice since silicone is super easy to disinfect since you want to ensure it's as clean as possible. It's a smart idea to have a handful of silicone baby teethers on hand so you always have a backup (or two) when one hits the dirty floor or it's time to rotate them out weekly. Silicone material is also ultra soft, so they won't feel too rough on your baby's incoming teeth and sensitive gums. It's also important to get teeth

Zoo welcomes new baby elephant who survives immediate brush with death

Gambar
Nelson the elephant was just born on Tuesday at 326 pounds. But shortly after his mama brought him into this world at Houston Zoo, Nelson was rushed into emergency surgery. According to the zoo, Shanti, a 29-year-old Asian elephant, gave birth after a short labor. Staff immediately noticed that Nelson was "hemorrhaging severely from his umbilicus. Upon further investigation, they determined that he tore a vessel in his umbilical cord during birth." The staff acted quickly. Nelson had surgery just an hour and a half after he was born. While he was in surgery, the elephant team gathered blood from the rest of the herd, just in case Nelson needed a transfusion. (He did not) But, huge sigh of relief, Nelson is recovering well and is just adorable. He was reunited with his mom after surgery and was soon walking on his own. He began to nurse before the end of the day. According to the zoo, "While the young calf is not completely out of the woods yet, the team is cautiously opt
