Wire Taps: Washington Nationals’ Ryan Zimmerman on Pros for Heroes + Aníbal Sánchez on Baby Shark + more Nats links...

Davey Martinez joked early this Spring about forcing someone on the team to adopt Baby Shark as their walk-up music so that the tradition will stay alive in Nationals Park.

But one veteran, Aníbal Sánchez, told SiriusXM MLB Network Radio hosts Steve Phillips and Eduardo Perez on Monday that Gerardo Parra, who started the Baby Shark thing in D.C., was unique, and trying to recreate it probably won't work.

"I don't know if someone is going to take the Baby Shark. I think the Baby Shark came with the right character," Sánchez said.

"Parra, he brings so much energy to the team, and he brings a kid's fun — and he's unbelievable."

"I don't think anybody else could do that besides Parra."

Parra is, of course, playing in Japan now.

Will the Nationals let it go when baseball starts being played in the nation's capital again, or, like the whole Mike Morse/Take on Me thing, will they find some way to keep it going?

Please don't waste too much time on that question. Go read your links...
